This image is from a private collection and placed in the book by Frédéric Marchand: The history of Martin mechanical toys

This drawing is a part of the Patent 128445

Martin started in 1875 with his first attempts to make toys but in 1878 the first real toy was a real swimming fish with patent number 128445 from Jan-01-1879
He has used this patent number more often and therefore appears regularly with his toys.
Some examples are: This swing, the fish, the boat.

The drive is in one of the poles, the winding is done via a handle at the bottom, in the pole is the rubber band and at the very top the transmission.
In this way he has made more, a few examples are the Le Trapeze 1885 and the Le Sonneur Endiablé 1885
