This toy was made together with the Pousse-Pousse Annamite in 1889 for the world exhibition in Paris.
E P Lehmann later acquired the rights for the production of these two pieces together with some others including the most famous “Le Livreur” from 1888 by Martin, he paid Martin a certain amount per sold toy.
This piece is very rare but the Pousse-Pousse was a much more popular toy and therefore can still be found regularly.
